Veteran Appreciation Day Fair Grounds August 2
10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

There will be food, music, veteran service officers, businesses, power point and movies will be shown.  This is a day we thank the veterans of Cherokee County and all veterans for what they have done to keep America free.  For any information contact Dana C. 2008 will be the 72nd Annual Fair and the 25th year of free gate admission to all. In order to finance this large community event, various fundraisers are held throughout the year, coupled with state and county funding, plus the booster club. 

Along with exhibit buildings and livestock to view, there is also a Little Miss Marcus Fair Pageant, a dunking booth, parades, shows and FREE ice cream!

Cherokee County Fair Grounds

Kart racing has made its way to Cherokee County!  The track itself is all clay which makes it an extremely fast track for its 1/8 mile size.  Several races will be held throughout the summer with several different class divisions for both children and adults!  This year’s fair race will be one of the top paying Kart events in the upper Midwest paying $400 to the winner of the adult classes.  Races are conducted under the International Karting
Association rules.
