The mission of the Human Resources department
is to serve as a strategic partner within the county by offering
programs and services to promote positive working relationships and
maximize the potential of its own workforce. HR strives to
treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.
The Human Resources (HR) office is located in the lower level of
the courthouse. It is organized under the Board of
Supervisors and operates as an internal service department by
providing services to the County government offices and employees.
HR administers and oversees all personnel and employee service
programs including recruitment and hiring, employee and labor
relations, employee benefits and compensation programs, training and
development, and safety and risk management efforts. The
office represents the Board of Supervisors in labor contract
negotiations, arbitration, grievance resolutions and day-to-day
contract administration.
