Community Services of Cherokee County coordinates general relief programs. Duties of the office include:
May provide emergency assistance which prevents eviction due to unanticipated problems with rental or house payments or disconnection from utilities for non-payment.
Coordination with other agencies such as the Department of Human Services, and local churches help address the needs
Food and clothing referrals are coordinated with the local outreach offices
Funding of County burials
