The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa is an annual event that takes place the last full week of July. It’s the longest, largest and oldest touring bicycle ride in the world and this July takes it into its 36th year!

This year’s event goes through Missouri Valley, Harlan, Jefferson, Ames, Tama-Toledo, North Liberty, Tipton and Le Claire.

 

   Annually attracting more than a million visitors from around the world, the Iowa State Fair is Iowa’s largest event. Be sure to get your tickets to see one of the world’s largest livestock shows, America’s largest state fair foods department, Iowa’s largest art show, hundreds of competitive events and wacky contest, 160 acres of campgrounds and so much more!
